Bringing New Life to Pre-War West Village Co-Op
Politi Architecture is proud to announce a new full renovation project in the West Village. Overlooking Jackson Square, this beautiful one-bedroom, one-bathroom co-op apartment built in 1929 has the opportunity to take better advantage of its beautiful surroundings.
“I am excited about this project because we are committed to creating sanctuaries for our clients, and this space has incredible potential,” said Thomas M. Politi, principal architect with the firm. “What sets us apart is our commitment to defining architecture as a relationship between landscape, engineering, urban design and art – and this renovation will exemplify that mission.”
The team will create a synergy between the interior of this apartment and the outdoor beauty of the nearby park. Using colors, patterns and light, the new architectural design will extend a person’s vision from the inside to the outside – making the space seem larger. The designers will also use a neutral color scheme with white walls and natural wood floors to create a quiet, calm and modern space. They will maximize the flood of natural light to the apartment through its windows, something possible due to the apartment’s orientation on the site.
Last but not least, the firm’s furniture and custom millwork will compliment the overall feel of the 800 square foot space. Politi Architecture is the only firm of its size to provide its clients with custom millwork, adding a unique flair to every project. The bathroom will have a custom vanity and stone counter. The living space will also feature a hideaway built-in office workstation and there will be a new custom credenza in the kitchen.
