“We reimagine the built environment by creating design concepts that blur the boundaries between landscape, engineering, and the built environment.  Simply put… we design beautiful and sustainable places where people want to live, work, and play.”

  • Every day people are looking for ways to improve themselves as well as the environment around them. In our design studios, we are dedicated to the same ambitions – to craft beautiful and inspiring places through our architecture. Even if it’s a single room, it should be a place that stimulates our client’s creativity.

In our studio we achieved our client’s goals by listening carefully to their needs and acting to boldly craft a design that meets their unique needs, tastes, and constraints. We believe strongly that design is a powerful tool that impacts our personal lives, as well as our communities. By embracing design as tool, we can reimagine the built environment and create spatial compositions that resolve our task at hand in an elegant manner.

Politi Architecture (PA) was created in 2019 focusing on three major areas of design: architecture, urbanism, and custom fabrication of millwork. In recent years, Mr. Politi focused his firm’s efforts and growth towards two aims: growing the firm’s national profile and increasing its network of elite colleagues. Recently, the firm has been working with a local non-profit to design and develop a Veteran’s Housing Project in Upstate New York. This project garnered significant media attention, showcasing the firm’s design and commitment towards helping America’s veterans.

Politi Architecture also brings a vibrant community of collaborative partners spread across outstanding business relationships with industry leaders in the development market, engineering, and owner representatives. These individuals and firms rely on PA’s expertise and dedication to design and tailoring its services to meet each project.

Prior to establishing Politi Architecture, Mr. Politi worked for numerous renowned architectural firms throughout the New York area, where he was highly regarded for his design skills and extensive managerial capabilities. Thomas’s portfolio includes high-end residential, commercial, educational, governmental, and hospitality work in the US and abroad. He is well versed in all phases of design, from programming and concept design through construction administration. Tom excels in working closely with his clients as well as managing the diverse teams that accompany challenging projects.

Politi Architecture is always focusing on refining their core values of: Professionalism, Leadership, Investment, Communication, and Craftsmanship. Currently the firm can practice Architecture in the following states: New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, and Massachusetts. The firm is currently pursuing an architectural license for the State of Florida

  • Politi Architecture defines their architecture as a comprehensive relationship between, The built environment, landscape, engineering, and art. This interconnection, as well as collaboration between different disciplines brings a clarity into the design concepts, allowing for a poetic way of taking the building’s program, site, and use of materials to create a series of spatial compositions not only defining the interior spaces, but creating the overall form of a building. This relationship between the interior and exterior not only enhances the singular structure, but the entire built environment around it.

Site selection is a key element in design because it is typically the first major decision to be made for a project. The site should be treated as any other material because the characteristics of a site can have a major impact on design decisions, as well as discovering excellent opportunities for a project.

During the design process, the spatial compositions both inside and outside, as well as the form(s) of the project are studied for movement, light, and materiality. As designers, we find forms are interesting, but more interesting are the spatial compositions between these forms, or the negative space. It is within the negative of form where we experience life, or more importantly how we interact with the tangibles and Intangibles of life.

The built environments should be created with value. What is value in architecture? Politi Architecture believes “value” comes in both tangible and intangible qualities of a project. Tangible refers to things that can be seen and touched (walls, floors, materials, construction, etc..) basically most of the things that exist around us. Intangible, on the other hand, refers to things that may or may not be seen, but they cannot be touched. An example are light patterns that will change the feeling, and/or mood of the spaces. In architecture, the intangible may have a greater impact on the built environment, because of the physical experiences and sensation they bring to a place. The concept of simplicity concentrates on inner feeling rather than outward appearance.
