This home was designed by using all local and reclaimed materials. Many of the interior finishes are of reclaimed wood and/or of FSC certified wood products. This home like all the other homes in this series also takes advantage of all-natural resources - Daylighting, Natural Ventilation, Storm Water Control, and Solar Power.

The home’s basic rectangular form is sheared along the east-west axis allowing for a spatial composition with the landscape, as well as creating different volumes of space within the home as well as out.

The intent is to design a series of Contemporary Farm Homes that will meaningfully merge design, science, technology, and construction - to create architecture that will enhance everyday life by taking a holistic approach to the design and construction process.
